On this occasion, the house of the week brings us to Puerto de Vega in Navia, one of the most charming fishing villages in Asturias. The house of the week is an authentic architectural gem commissioned by a native-immigrant from the area who returned to his homeland after making his fortune in Mexico. Built-in 1930 by a famous architect and painter from Oviedo, and rebuilt in 1998, it is a magnificent example of the palace houses of the modernist style of the early twentieth century. Its design highlights the two asymmetric towers of its main facade and attached to these semicircular structures topped by a balustrade. In the front part of the central body of the construction, in front of the main door, the access is made under iron pergolas covered with vegetation. The exterior cladding is plastered and painted with a profusion of decorative elements and the roofs are inclined with wooden structure and slate roof, all this gives the construction great harmony. The structure is made of natural stone masonry load-bearing walls and wooden beams. Inside, there is a remarkable central patio roofed with marble pillars in one piece and a corridor on the first floor that serves as a distributor.

The house with a constructed area of 1,000 m² on four floors is distributed as follows: semi-basement with garage for 3 cars and service areas. Main floor with four rooms, patio columns, two stairs, toilet, kitchen, cellar and dining room. The first floor with a corridor open to the central patio that distributes four bedrooms, two dressing rooms, two terraces and two bathrooms. The construction is surrounded by 5,000 m² of gardens with a profusion of vegetation and ornamental trees, in one of the areas of the garden were the old stables that have now been converted into a 100 m² fully glazed living room with a wood-burning oven and is ideal for holding meetings and events. Its privileged location, in the eastern part of Asturias and less than 7 km from the fishing village Luarca is another attraction.
