The origin of this unique house dates from the first decade of the twentieth century belonged to the Patiño brothers, from San Martin do Porto, emigrated to America in the first decade of the twentieth century.
In Havana, they set up a gift shop that soon prospered. They were made with the official grant of the then-unknown automatic Swiss watches, thanks to which they achieved fame and treasured a considerable fortune.
Part of their profits constitutes the consignment sent so that Felipe Patiño, the only brother who did not emigrate, was responsible for reforming the house they had left here and dated from 1889. He commissioned the work to the local architect Manuel de Leira y Leira, who In 1920 he plans the complete remodelling of the property and leave it as we can see it today.
Located on the left bank of the local road that leads from Cabanas to Mugardos stands this magnificent house stylistically configured to attest to the success achieved by its overseas promoters.
