Although the Catalan community is going through a period of political uncertainty, the numbers speak for themselves: the housing price in Spain does not stop growing in the big cities and Barcelona is one of them.
The average price of homes is 4,334 euros per square meter, which represents a 5.1% year-on-year increase in the city, according to the latest reports.
The greatest increase took place in Gràcia, where it was 5.3%, followed by Sants Montjuïc (4.9%), Sant Andreu (4.8%) and Horta Guinardó (4.3%). Also, the highest prices have been registered in the districts of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi (5,231 euros per square meter), Les Corts (5,096) and Eixample (5,053), while Nou Barris is the only district of the capital that is below the three thousand euros per square meter (2,309).
